MEET A GIANT: Journey Kan, Intern Currently finishing up her senior year at UCLA, this NorCal native is quick to create, comment, and speculate on the future of social media, but it’s her humor and versatility that makes her a perfect fit here at Giant Media. On working in an Internet industry: ”I had no idea growing up that you could one day do something with the Internet that’s far beyond yourself, but now it can be used to create new business. It’s very cost effective while at the same time innovating, and that’s just so neat to me.”  On social media’s presence in marketing: ”I really enjoy how social media can impact something outside of the Internet-sphere, how it’s becoming integrated into marketing campaigns to make them more substantial.”  On her favorite Internet gems: “That GIF of the Aflac Duck dancing with pigeons, Courtney Stodden, and anything comparing Christian Bale to Kermit the frog…I mean, come  on - if it’s funny I’m all over it.”  On her favorite social media: ”Whenever I’m low on laughter I head to Tumblr.
